Tips for Securing Your Favorite Drop Items
Even when you know about a drop, hundreds of fans are racing you to checkout. These tips increase your odds.
Step 1: Create and test your account now
Don't wait until the drop minute. Create a store account, save your shipping address, and enter a valid credit card. Use an autofill extension to speed up checkout. I recommend testing the process with a regular item first to ensure nothing breaks.
Step 2: Use multiple devices and browsers
If possible, open the product page on your phone, tablet, and laptop. Each device is a separate checkout queue. Use different browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox) on the same computer for more entry points. But only try to buy on one - simultaneous payment attempts can cancel each other.
Step 3: Know exactly which item you want
The moment the drop goes live, you won't have time to browse. Decide which design, size, and color you want before the go-live. Have the product URL saved in a note so you can paste it quickly. If your top pick sells out, have a backup item ready. For example, if the "Tor'Cent" shirt is gone, grab the enamel pin set.
Step 4: Use a dedicated payment method
Credit cards decline sometimes at high traffic. I've had better luck with PayPal. Link your PayPal account to your bank and set a backup credit card. Avoid gift cards or store credit - they often require an extra step that costs you seconds.
Step 5: Wait out the cart timer
Most drops use a 10-minute cart timer. If an item sells out while in your cart, it will be removed. Don't panic and refresh. If your checkout doesn't go through first try, wait 30 seconds and try again - cancellations can free up stock.
Common Mistake: Refreshing the page
Refreshing can reset your queue position. Instead, let the page auto-update. If you see "sold out" for your size, immediately click on your backup size or item. Chat with other fans in the Discord to confirm if stock is truly gone or if a bug occurred.
